I'm on my feet a lot for my job and I have a very active lifestyle, so when I noticed that I had progressively bulging veins on my left leg, I thought I'd get it checked out. I called the Whittier Imaging Vein clinic to make an appointment for a free evaluation since it was so close to home. I had quite a few questions for Dr. Cumming and he answered all of them. He was very professional and thorough in explaining the two treatments that were needed to get me back on track. I had vein ablation and phlebectomy on different occasions and both went well. I had a lot of pain in my legs and wanted to find out what treatments were available. My daughter told me about a free vein care consultation at Whittier Imaging Vein Care, so I made an appointment. I met with Dr. Cumming and he said that I’d be a good candidate for vein care treatment. Stephanie and Dr. Cumming talked with me throughout the procedure and made sure I was comfortable. It wasn’t painful at all! They applied a topical analgesic on my leg but didn’t need any other medication. After the treatment, I walked out of the clinic. - Cheryl

After two emergencies of bleeding veins, I did not want to be on my feet again. I had vein surgery in 1993, but it was not successful. I had another procedure in 2000. After a vein in my left ankle opened up and bled again in late 2009, I wondered if I was done walking at 86 years old. I had pain in my leg for months and it just felt heavy all the time. I knew about the Whittier Imaging Vein Care clinic so I went in for a free consultation. I met with Dr. Cumming and Stephanie at the clinic. Dr. Cumming suggested having the vein ablation treatment. On the day of my treatment, Dr. Cumming explained everything that he was going to do and really made me feel at ease. I wasn't put under and had a local anesthetic instead.
